Loving this week {August 2015}

It has been way too long since I've done one of these posts. I can't remember why they dropped out my posting routine, but I am bringing them back this week.

Half way through a bank holiday weekend (the second in August!), there seems a lot to love. Here are some highlights on this late summer Sunday.

1. Grilled tahini, rocket and pepper on toast (with nutritional yeast for good measure).

This is as simple as the title suggests. I paired the toast with peaches and I'm loving them this week as well.

2. New walking and running routes, and new views.

I feel so privileged to live in our new neighbourhood. Within 15 minutes, I can walk through woods...

...through open fields...

...and past horses.

3. An iPad Air.

Before this week, we were an Apple free household - no iPhones, iPads or Apple computers. Thanks to the generosity of my manager, I now have a work iPad. It also has home benefits, especially with my new longer commute to work.

4. Waitrose iced Belgian buns.

They're delightfully vegan. And just delightful.

5. Having all our belongings within our home.

For the last year, we had a number of boxes in storage because we couldn't fit everything in our London flat. A lot of those items were non-essentials - Mr Bite's keyboard, my beloved children's books and various other assorted items. Nonetheless, it is a joy to have them back now (even if some of them aren't yet unpacked!).

What are you loving this week?

  2. So glad you're finally getting settled and loving your new home! I am definitely going to have to try that toast idea for breakfast this week! I'm in the market for some inspiration.

  4. I didn't know that Waitrose iced buns were vegan - I am going to have to try some of them out.
Oh, and I love tahini on toast too. Especially with avocado.

    1. The ingredient list is rather long and admittedly processed, but yes, they are delightfully egg and dairy free :D

  5. It's so good to finally unpack and have all your belongings out of boxes. I do love the look of your new neighbourhood and the areas where you can walk and jog; it's so pretty. The little vegan cake is super-cute and I do love tahini on toast. Wouldn't mind a peach as well xx

    1. I think life is generally better with peaches. It's a shame they're not available to us all year round!
