I am linking this into cityhippyfarmgirl's 'loving this week' post for July.
The 'loving'this week' posts are all about the little moments in your days and weeks that have tickled your heart.
Loving...
Quinoa cooked with the juice of one lemon and topped with paprika-spiced tofu (and vegetables). I think lemon may be my favourite quinoa accompaniment.
Weetbix with chocolate almond milk.
My last long run ticked off before my next half marathon in two weeks time (I've been keeping that run quiet!).
Crumpets and tea. I'm a bit obsessed.
My sister back safely from her Malaysia and Japan travels, and my parents back safely from their U.K. holiday.
Japanese chopsticks from my sister (also featured in the top quinoa photo).
A functional freezer borrowed from my parents. Our freezer (and now, possibly, attached fridge) is not functioning well at all and it is causing much inconvenience!
What are you loving this week?
What I'm loving this week - time spent with my girls (just back from camp) and a few local mini-trips.
ReplyDeleteAlso, feeling a little envious of your sister's trips to Malaysia and Japan! Sounds wonderful.
Your week sounds great Beth :-) And I'm a little jealous too!
DeleteGorgeous post!
ReplyDeleteI am loving how beautiful, gracious and kind my little girl is, and how thoughtful my little boy Lachlan is becoming, and how manly my teenaged boys are... I am loving my family and my special hubby.
It warms my heart every day.
Thank you for making me stop and think about how special they are :)
It's easy to forget sometimes, isn't it? It sounds like you have a beautiful family though :-)
DeleteLovely Kari, thank you for sharing some of your lovely week.
ReplyDeleteLove the elegant chopsticks brought back from Japan. They add a lovely touch to an every day meal don't they.
They do indeed!
Deletelove those chopsticks and I love crumpets and tea - Sylvia has developed a taste for crumpets too and tries to put them in the supermarket trolley whether I want them or not - oh well there are worse things she could put in there! Tonight I was loving sourdough flatbread spread with nutella! Good luck with the half marathon
ReplyDeleteThe image of Sylvia popping crumpets into your trolley is a gorgeous one! As you say - it's not a bad thing for her to be selecting :-)
DeleteI'm loving those chopsticks! I want to go to Japan tooooo
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your half-marathon. What an achievement because I'm sure you must have been putting a lot of hours into your training. I do hope the event goes well for you. I would love to do a half-marathon just to see if I could actually do it. I'll have to sort out my injury issues first. Love the chopsticks and I bet it's great to have your family home again safely. And thanks so much for the chocolate/antioxidants. I picked up the parcel from the post office today and am looking forward to trying the samples xx
ReplyDeleteOh, excellent! I'm glad they reached you okay :-) Antioxidant chocolates are safer than running from an injury perspective and you can still feel like you're getting benefits from the experience!
DeleteOoo good luck on your half love!! And the chopsticks are so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne :-)
DeleteSo excited for you half marathon that is coming up. I know that you will do great and I cannot wait to hear all about it! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tasha! I'm quite excited about this one too because the course is completely flat :D
DeleteWow you have been keeping that run quiet! Good on you though I can't wait to hear how you go!
ReplyDeleteThat tofu sounds delicious! I'm loving my chai lattes this week and my new strength program that I just started.
Both of those things sound great! I need more strength training and more chai lattes I think :S
DeleteI'm loving learning strength through finding the happiness in wherever I am, even when my heart hurts for other places.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous chopsticks.
That is an excellent love dear one. I think your last year has taught many of us a lesson that happiness is where you find it :-)
Deleteoh my they are the most pretty chopsticks i've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI love them :-) In theory one pair is for Mr Bite, but I kind of want both!
Deletesuch a quick and healthy dish to make...great taste and good health in every bite :-)
ReplyDeleteYou'll be really impressed - a vegan protein almond smoothie (using vegan protein powder and almond milk!)
ReplyDeleteI am impressed Liz!
DeleteLots of lovely things in this post! This week I'm loving plain ole white bread with vegemite. Simple but so good! I can't get enough!
ReplyDeleteIt is a classic combination that one - now I want it too ;)
DeleteGreat list of items!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI loved this post. It's all about finding the happiness in the ordinary things. That's what makes life wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous chopsticks!
Happiness in the ordinary things is the best sort of happiness I think - perhaps the only sort :-)
