Christmas 2013

Our baby tree.

My parent's large tree.

Lentil, mushroom and walnut balls from Oh She Glows (before and after cooking).
These are highly recommended!

'The best shredded kale salad' from Oh She Glows.
Also highly recommended!

This might look familiar from previous years...

Christmas dinner on plants (with one hidden lentil ball and
cranberry sauce yet to appear).

Christmas ice cream, in layered form.

Christmas chocolates.

Post lunch jigsawing.

Gingerbread house thanks to my sister and her boyfriend.
(Partially nibbled because it was made a week before Christmas!)

Festive neighbourhood lights.

I hope your 25th December was merry and bright.

    1. It's actually one house with two facades - we don't discriminate against sweets in my family ;) She did a great job though, and huge credit to them for not eating all the lollies off before the day!

  7. The table looks lovely and your parents' tree is gorgeous. I love the sound of those walnut balls and would love to try them - they look like they could be a great appetiser. The gingerbread houses are very cute - I made mine a week before Christmas and guarded it furiously saying no one was allowed to attack it until the big day. Now it's looking very mauled xx

    1. They do get a bit mauled in appearance don't they?! They're such gorgeous creations but very hard to cut / pull apart in any neat or sensible fashion. Those walnut balls would definitely be a great appetiser and I think have appeal with vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
